Come experience the joy of making something with your hands.

"What a wonderful experience! I have been meaning to do pottery for some time and it took a little courage to get going but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I think it is so healthy to do things that are new and out of our comfort zone! It really is a grounding and perfectionism-breaking art form!" Christina Pienaar

Earth First
Our teachers are highly trained to support all experience levels. Our classes are small so every student has access to time, attention and support. Your teacher is there to guide you through every part of the creative process, whether it’s a technical question or support with your inner critic. Our goal is to help you feel confident and supported.
Modern life can be lonely. That’s why Clay Hands is designed for connection. We host regular in person events, have snacks and chat breaks each class, have a U-shaped hand building table and our wheels are clustered together. Come connect with our diverse group of ‘muddy buddies’, where everyone is welcome no matter their age, gender, race, or background.
We are passionate about keeping our studio sustainable. We are a closed circuit space, meaning we reuse and recycle our resources wherever we can. We supply recycled clay, use water-saving practices, teach students how to reuse clay, fire when the kiln is filled to save electricity and recycle to do our bit for the climate crisis.
"Attending the foundation hand building class at Clay Hands unlocked a passion I didn’t know I had! It felt like my child-self and my adult-self were allowed to meet somewhere in the middle and play" Bavani
